 2004 STEVENS424
This is the 2nd release of our 424 Blend, a Bordeaux-styled red wine that we plan on doing every year. Once again, its name comes from the fact that we are BW-WA-424 (the 424th bonded winery in Washington). This year’s blend is 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot. As always our focus for this particular wine is to create a sense of balance from start to finish. As the years go by we’re including more and more Cabernet Franc into the mix because we like the earthiness and floral notes that it brings to the wine. This years vintage is no exception with its dark cocoa, black plum, and violet nose. The body of the wine is smooth and seductive. The finish is all about the way the Cab Franc dances the Tango. 225 cases produced. Price $30.00

This sleek, sexy blend is named for the winery’s bond number (WA-424). This is immensely
appealing. The fruit flavors are carefully layered in, with lots of blackberry and black cherry leading
the way; the oak adds sweet spices, hints of cinnamon, cocoa and ground coffee. Lovely balance
