 2005 STEVENSMERLOT
We singled out 4 of our favorite barrels to make this lot. Many people poo poo Merlot, and it’s understandable. We do the same thing, but… like all wine there’s a time and place and then there’s nothing better. This Merlot is a pop it & pour it, with or without food. It’s not too much, but just enough. Funny, we sound like Goldilocks looking for just the right wine. Well, stylistically this wine speaks Washington Merlot, silky and supple in the middle with a wonderfully floral nose and some infused spice on the finish. This year’s vintage was sourced from Sheridan Vineyard in Zillah and aged 20 months in 50% new and 50% once used French oak barrels. 90 cases produced. Price $27.00 |
