It’s been 6 long years since we released a 100% Cabernet Franc, funny how times flies. In 2001 our very first commercial wine was 100 cases of this very varietal. Everybody always asks, “When are you going to do the Franc again.” The time has come! We finally had enough stand alone fruit to single it out once again. The bulk of the fruit came from Sheridan and the remainder from Dineen Vineyard. The key, or so we think, is getting the Franc good and ripe which leaves any green notes far behind and brings forward wonderful stone, pencil and mountain berry characters.
