 2010 STEVENSMERLOT
The 2010 StevensMerlot once again comes from Yakima Valley’s DuBrul and Meek Vineyards. When we team these two power-houses up it’s like being dealt a royal flush. Automatic winner! It’s intense enough for our big boy wine drinkers: muscular with volume and length, but savory enough for Grandma Patty: textured and smooth. Our favorite characteristic: the amazing floral nose. It was aged 18th months in French oak. There is of course, a new sculpture adorning the label. Very fun! We produced 140 cases.

Stevens 2010 Merlot, Yakima Valley $30
Tim Stevens showcases Yakima Valley Terroir as well as any winemaker in the state. This is sourced from the DuBrul and Meek vineyards, and it is remarkably complex, though still tight and tart. The dark fruits are highlighted with toast and baking spices, along with clove and ginger. Look for this to be a 10+ year Merlot. — P.G.
